Hand-crafted from a single piece of solid olive wood, both the resin artwork and the grain of the wood of these fabulous bowls by Samantha Lois Illustrations create striking statement pieces that can be displayed at the centre of any table. Samantha’s bowls make both practical and eye-catching decorative home accessories and are the perfect dinner party piece, whilst also making beautiful table decorations in their own right when not in use. Each bowl is hand crafted from beautiful olive wood, with the striking natural grain making no two pieces alike and creating a stunning contrast between the natural olive wood and the premium marble-like resin finish. This makes each bowl one-of-a-kind and completely personal, meaning they would also be perfect as wedding, birthday or housewarming gifts.

Inspired by the North East coast, the Ocean collection captures deep blues, waves of white and flecks of Egyptian gold glittered sand. The perfect complement to an interior leaning towards the bluer end of the spectrum, or just something to remind you of those revitalising and refreshing days spent by the sea.

Based in Newcastle, I created my brand in 2017. Having completed a degree in fashion design in 2014, I found myself more drawn to abstract illustration than clothing design – this progressed to abstract paintings and creating canvases using lots of texture which became very popular. I finally found myself wanting to create a more utilitarian product that could be enjoyed and used by all, which is where my abstract art through epoxy resin bonded onto serving boards began!

I strive to use recycled or reclaimed materials where possible throughout all aspects of my work, down to the postage packaging I use.

I have spent many hours developing and testing colour schemes, board shapes and ranges to create a perfect mix for all tastes and interior aesthetics!
