Black & Gold Olive Wood Large Handled Serving Board
Black and gold resin-coated solid olive serving board.
These resin-detailed olive wood serving boards by Samantha Lois Illustrations are ideal for use as table centrepieces and cheese platters or antipasti boards; they never fail to create the perfect eye-catching statement-piece at every dinner party or social gathering. Hand-crafted from a single piece of solid olive wood, the striking natural grain means no two pieces are alike and creates a stunning contrast between the natural olive wood and the premium marble-like resin finish. This makes each bowl one-of-a-kind and completely personal, meaning they would also be perfect as wedding, birthday or housewarming gifts.
Keep it classic and simple with the Black & Gold collection – incorporating a sweep of white across solid black resin and finished with a simple single line of glittery gold, this will add a touch of glamour to any interior scheme.
Resin Coated Solid Olive Wood Serving Board
Measures approximately 48 x 23 x 2cm
(Please note that as each piece is hand carved from a single piece of olive wood, these measurements are not exact and will vary slightly from piece to piece)
The artwork on each coaster has been individually hand poured by Samantha Lois Illustrations.
Epoxy resin (ArtResin) is used to create the artwork on each board; this is non-toxic and certified as food safe by the FDA.
– To clean, hand wash with hot soapy water and a damp cloth, do not soak or submerge in water, NOT dishwasher safe
– To recondition your serving board, gently rub the wooden section using fine grain sandpaper and treat using food grade oils such as olive, coconut or bees wax. (Take care to avoid rubbing the resin with the sandpaper as this will cause scratches) Completing these steps will help prolong the life span of your board by increasing the wood’s natural resistance to water
– Care instructions are provided with every purchased board
**Do not place extremely hot food onto the resin – not safe for use in ovens**

Based in Newcastle, I created my brand in 2017. Having completed a degree in fashion design in 2014, I found myself more drawn to abstract illustration than clothing design – this progressed to abstract paintings and creating canvases using lots of texture which became very popular. I finally found myself wanting to create a more utilitarian product that could be enjoyed and used by all, which is where my abstract art through epoxy resin bonded onto serving boards began!
I strive to use recycled or reclaimed materials where possible throughout all aspects of my work, down to the postage packaging I use.
I have spent many hours developing and testing colour schemes, board shapes and ranges to create a perfect mix for all tastes and interior aesthetics!
