These beautiful scarves by Helen Chatterton combine the hardiness of tweed with the lusciously soft texture of silk velvet. The gorgeously rich colours of the velvets are hand selected to complement the vibrant tones of the Harris Tweed, creating a tactile and versatile double-sided scarf, perfect for day or evening wear.

This striking Harris Tweed design in tonal greys has a highlight of purple running through it which is perfectly complemented by the silk velvet on the reverse. A truly versatile piece, the greys of the tweed mean that it will sit well with most colours, while the rich purple tones of the velvet make this an ideal choice for the darker months, or to accessorise an evening outfit.

Scarf measures approximately 23x155cm

Images for guidance only – please note that as each scarf is handmade, there may be some differences in exactly where the fabric is cut, therefore pieces ordered will be similar in design to those shown here, but not exactly the same. Please also be aware that slight differences in colour may occur when looking at the scarves on computers.

We primarily work with Harris Tweed for a few reasons. Their colours are unbeatable, something that is very important to us when matching with Liberty Tana Lawn cottons and vivid velvets, and it is exclusively made in the Outer Hebrides in a rural community. Its popularity is rightly increasing; people want to see that orb on tweed products, and we are delighted to oblige!
